ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Campus police are investigating the death of a University of Georgia student who was found unresponsive in a car.
UGA police say 19-year-old Michael McClary of Decatur was in the back seat while returning home after a night out with friends early Saturday morning.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1KFhjOb) that the friends tried to rouse McClary after pulling into an East Campus parking deck and called police around 2 a.m. Saturday. McClary was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said there were no signs of injury — foul play, accidental or otherwise.
An autopsy was performed Monday at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab. Williamson said police hope the results will help them identify a cause for McClary's death.
