SARASOTA Co., FL (WWSB) -- A major accident was reported at approximately 3:38 p.m. on Tuesday.
The incident involved one car and one pedestrian, described as a hit and run. It occurred near the area of Orange Avenue and MLK Way.
The Sarasota County Fire Department is on scene and a trauma alert has been declared for the pedestrian struck by the driver.
