TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It was a busy night for Tallahassee police posted at a safety and sobriety checkpoint.
WTXL ABC's crew was there overnight capturing the officers in action.
The safety checkpoint was from 11 Thursday night through 2 a.m. near Apalachee Parkway and Capital Circle.
TPD says this particular checkpoint is in honor of Samuel Brooks Rogers, a 23-year old killed by a drunk driver on West Tharpe Street in 2011.
Rogers was a Tallahassee-native and a senior at Florida State University who was majoring in political science.
