TPD arrests man for Nashville Drive shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested for attempted murder, accused of shooting a man in the back during an argument last weekend.

Travis Maddox, 39, was booked into the Leon County Detention Center on Monday for attempted first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted Florida felon.

He remained in jail Tuesday. No bond amount was indicated.

At 1:18 a.m. Saturday, Tallahassee Police Department officers and Leon County Emergency Medical Services personnel were dispatched to a mobile home on Nashville Drive. There they found a man shot in the back.

Maddox had left the scene by the time officers arrived, according to a probable cause affidavit.


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person with non-life threatening injuries. 

TPD responded to a shooting at about 1:18 a.m. on Saturday at 1441 Nashville Drive. 

When officers arrived on scene they saw Aleze Houston-Romaine, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound. 

TPD says emergency personnel provided immediate medical attention to Houston-Romaine, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
