TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Starting Friday, there will be multiple road closures throughout Tallahassee for Florida A&M's Homecoming weekend, the Experience Asia Festival, and the Refuge House 5K.
The Tallahassee Police Department are stepping up patrols this weekend and below are planned special events with road closures worked by TPD:
October 5, 2018
Kodak Black Concert
- College Avenue will be closed from MLK to Macomb Street
- 8:30 pm-03:00 am
October 6, 2018
FAMU Homecoming Parade
- 6:30 am – 11:30 am
- Orange Avenue will be closed from Adams Street to Pasco Street
- Wahnish Way will be closed from Orange Avenue to FAMU Way
- Gamble Street will be closed from Perry Street to MLK Jr. Blvd
- MLK Jr. Blvd. will be closed from FAMU Way to Barbourville Drive
Experience Asia Festival
- Park Avenue (East and West) will be closed from Monroe to Gadsden Street
- Calhoun Street will be closed from Call To College Avenue
- 6:30 am -6:30 pm
FAMU Homecoming Game
- Immediately following the Parade (11:30 – 9:00 pm)
- Booster traffic only north of Osceola on Wahnish Way
- Booster traffic only south of Eugenia on Wahnish Way
- Perry Street is closed from Gamble Street to Okaloosa Street
- *Residents will be allowed access
- *Traffic will be prioritized away from the stadium post-game
October 7, 2018
Refuge House 5K
- Myers Park Neighborhood
- Traffic will be held for the runners
