BROOKS COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A two year old is dead after being ejected from a vehicle.

A father was driving on on Troupeville Highway near Crosbytown road in Brooks County, when he says he was distracted by his two year old son.

The vehicle flipped twice and struck a wooden fence. Both the father and son were unrestrained and partially ejected from the vehicle. Life flight was called to the scene, but was not able to stabilize the child for the flight.

The toddler was transported to an area hospital where he died. Troopers say the father has no injuries. The crash is currently under investigation, and troopers say charges may be pending. They do not believe alcohol or drugs are a factor.
