THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A Thomasville resident shot his neighbor's dog after it came running toward him.
The resident told police that he was in his yard on Woodland Drive with his dogs around 3 p.m. Thursday when the neighbor's dog came running toward them.
The resident stated that he and his dogs were able to get inside the house before the dog could get to them.
Police say the man then grabbed a gun from his home, went back outside where he saw the dog walking back toward its home.
The resident said he shot the dog because of previous issues with it coming onto his property.
Police say the incident was turned over to the Thomas County Humane Society. Charges are pending on both residents.
