TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A teen has been arrested for his involvement in a home invasion robbery where he and two other suspects attacked two women.
According to a probable cause document, 19-year-old Freddie Lee Robinson was arrested for his involvement in a home invasion robbery at a apartment on West Pensacola Street.
The victims told police that on Feb. 18, they were eating dinner when they got a knock at the door. One of the woman looked out their peep hole and saw a juvenile boy named Mason.
The first victim said that she recognized Mason Atkins from hanging around the complex and told police that he had visited them in the past.
Once the door opened, the first victim was immediately attacked.
The second victim said that when she heard the commotion, she came out of the bedroom and saw Mason and two other males hitting the other victim. She told police that she tried to pull them off the other victim before they started hitting her too.
Sometime while the first victim and Mason were fighting on the floor, a gun either fell out of his pants or he pulled it out and dropped it. Police say that Mason and the woman struggled over control of the gun.
At the same time, the second victim had managed to break away from the other two suspects to get a rifle from the hallway. When she did however, Robinson took the rifle from her and threw her to the ground.
As she tried to get up, she told them that Robinson pointed the gun at her and attempted to pull the trigger several times. She told police that she thought she was going to be killed, but apparently the gun was jammed.
According to the document, the suspects stole $300 from a kitchen drawer and a rifle.
Both face charges of home invasion robbery with a firearm, grand theft, and other charges.
