St. Augustine, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man could soon face charges after hitting a scooter in a traffic accident.
It happened around 7:30pm in St. John’s County.
21 year-old Stephen Ziembroski of Tallahassee was headed southbound when he rear-ended a scooter—sending both passengers off the bike and onto the road.
Both of the riders were airlifted to The University Of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville where they are said to be in serious and critical condition.
Authorities say neither passenger was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
