TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is facing multiple burglary charges after he was caught on camera trying burglarize cars in his neighborhood.
Santeze Thompson, 19, was arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
On June 18, deputies received a report of a burglary to a carport and attempted burglary to two cars in the 3600 block of Westmoreland Drive.
Deputies state the homeowner captured video of Thompson and turned it in to LCSO.
The following day, the same homeowner saw, on video, Thompson had come back again, trying to get into his cars, but the doors were locked.
According to deputies, a neighbor in the same area also found Thompson around his home on his security system.
Through continued investigation, LCSO was able to identify Thompson and found out he lived in close proximity to the victims.
Thompson was interviewed by deputies on Wednesday and based on the evidence he was charged with two counts of attempted burglary to a conveyance and two counts of burglary to dwelling.
He was taken to the Leon County Detention Facility.
