TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- A Tallahassee man has been arrested in connection with the burglaries of several vehicles in northeast Leon County.
Dwayne Vanvalkenburg, 35, faces charges of grand theft, fraudulent use of credit cards and possession of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Leon County Sheriff's Office and the Tallahassee Police Department.
In burglarizing the vehicles on July 23, 2017, between midnight and 5:30 a.m., he took wallets and credit and debit cards, the release said.
Investigators said he used the cards that same morning at Walmart on North Monroe Street and at a nearby gas station.
Items seized from his home include wallets, laptops bags, backpacks and iPad containers.
Task Force members believe the items indicate more burglaries have occurred but victims have not been identified.
Investigators said that people who believe they were a victim of burglary should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call either LCSO at 850 606 3330 or TPD at 850 891 4200.
