TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been arrested after police say he freely exposed his genitals in broad daylight while trying to lure young children into his front yard.
Frederick McDonald, 76, was arrested on Monday at his home in the 2000 block of Pecan Court.
According to an arrest documents, witnesses saw McDonald exposing his genitals and touching himself while standing in his front yard. As he stood there exposed, witnesses told police that he was speaking to children who were playing in the neighborhood.
At one point, witnesses told police that McDonald called for the children to come over to him and tried to entice a child to come into his yard.
Documents say McDonald was seen wearing only a green shirt and appeared to have no pants or underwear on.
When police arrive, documents say McDonald ran back into his house but saw that "he was wearing neither pants or underwear as his bottom was clearly visible when the shirt rode up due to his movement."
After speaking to witnesses, police found five young children who told their parents that they had seen McDonald exposing himself.
When they interviewed McDonald, he denied exposing himself, said he had merely forgotten to wear pants while outside and was adamant that he had underwear on. However, McDonald couldn't tell officers what underwear he had on.
Based on the findings, McDonald was arrested and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition. As of Tuesday, he remains in jail.
