TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Many groups and businesses here in the Big Bend have done their part to help WTXL with the Turkey Drive.
The Tallahassee chapter of the Harley Owners Group brought several frozen turkeys to Ponce de Leon Park.
The group met at Harley Davidson of Tallahassee this morning before heading downtown.
They've been a part of the Turkey Drive since it started five years ago.
"Well, I think this really starts the holiday season for many people. It does for me, personally, and this year is pretty important because of the hurricane,"said Wes Lewis, former HOG Tallahassee Director. "We want to help as many people as we can. I think Thanksgiving is an American tradition, and I would like to have everybody to be able to have a turkey dinner."
In addition to the turkeys, the Tallahassee chapter has also been collecting donations at its meetings.
