MONTICELLO, Fla. (WTXL)-- Several crews with the Tallahassee Fire Department assisted with a tricky rescue mission Saturday in Jefferson County.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. when a man operating a powered parachute got stuck in a tree.
He was not injured in the crash landing, but the Jefferson County Rescue had trouble saving him from the tree on their own so they called Tallahassee for back-up.
Crews were able to get the man out of the tree using a ladder method. A ladder truck was used to reach the man, who was then secured with ropes and hoisted into the ladder bucket.
The rescue took about 30 minutes.
