TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) -- A local Tallahassee dentist and his employees did something different this holiday season.
Tallahassee dentist Russell Rainey and his team at Russell B. Rainey, D.M.D. went around the Capitol City Wednesday afternoon trying to spread Christmas cheer to those who could really use it.
Rainey's mission was simple: Give $100 to each group in his team and have them search town. Within two hours, they would need to find a stranger in the area that could use some help for the holidays. They would then give the money to the strangers as a gift.
"Here in our dental practice, we feel very, very blessed about the people that we have that serve us and come to us as patients", said Rainey. "And we just wanted to do something different for Christmas this year to thank the community."
The groups went to places such as a bus stop, the Ronald McDonald House, and even a local burger restaurant.
"We're hoping to inspire other businesses to give back to the community in any way that they feel is appropriate during this joyous season," said Rainey.
