TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - City Commissioners have appointed Bill Hollimon to fill Seat 1 on the City’s Independent Ethics Board.

The attorney's three year-term will run from Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020. He will be eligible for reappointment to a second term in the only position filled by the City Commission.

Since 2010, he has owned his own law firm. He has focused on areas that include patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution and litigation, and mediation of complex litigation.

Prior to his legal career, he worked as an engineer in the utility industry.

Hollimon will work with existing Ethics Board members Cecil Davis, State Attorney appointee; Richard Herring, Florida State University appointee; Bryan Smith, Florida A&M University appointee; Bruce D. Grant, board appointee; and Renee McNeill, board appointee.
