TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Firefighters responded to an attic fire in the early morning hours of Friday.
The Tallahassee Fire Department says that a small fire broke out in an attic in a home on the 3200 block of Springdale Drive around 6:45am.
Firefighters say they arrived shortly after to light smoke. They said that no injuries or road closures were reported. According to firefighters, the fire was caused by a vent fan in the bathroom, and the residents were alerted after smelling smoke.
The fire department also says that early damage estimates were measured at $35,000.
