Suspects Identified in Crashed Stolen Vehicle Incident

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--The suspects who deputies say ran away after a crashing a stolen vehicle are identified. 

Deputies say Wednesday morning at 8:45 Tallahassee police officers responded to a crash at South Monroe Street and Oakland Street. When they got there, they learned the people in the vehicle took off, but two of them were found on South Adams Street.

The men ran in different directions when they saw the officers. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the area to help find the suspects that jump out of the stolen vehicle and to also process the scene. LCSO Air Support also responded. Deputies say three guns and crack cocaine were found in the vehicle. Two of the firearms were reported stolen to LCSO and one was reported stolen to TPD.

TPD officers captured 17-year-old Emmanuel Smith and 18-year-old Xavier Green, but they are still looking for a third suspect. 

Green is being charged with vehicle grand theft, grand theft, grand theft of firearm, cocaine possession, possession of weapon, and a couple of burglary charges.
