FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say they've arrested a suspect accused of fatally shooting a man who was looking at a house near Fort Lauderdale with his wife and real estate agent.
The Broward Sheriff's Office reports that 51-year-old Vincent Reniard Stanley was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder.
Officials say 51-year-old Kenol Jean and his wife were visiting the newly renovated home around 10 a.m. Feb. 26 when Stanley followed them inside and shot Jean during a botched robbery. Paramedics took Jean to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Surveillance video showed Stanley arriving and leaving in white Pontiac Grand Am. Detectives tracked that car to 48-year-old Israel Brown, who was arrested Monday and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Brown then led detectives to Stanley.
Brown was being held on $15,000 bail, and Stanley was being held without bond.
