CRAWFORDVILLE, FL (WTXL) -- A suspect and victim have been identified in a deadly shooting in Crawfordville Tuesday night.
According to the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Walt McCoy Porter Sr. shot 52-year-old Michael Scott Lawrence after the two got into an argument.
The argument started around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night at a home on Meadow Ridge Drive, according to deputies. That's when Porter fired two shots, hitting Lawrence, deputies said.
Lawrence died at the scene of a gunshot wound to the head, WCSO said. Porter fled the scene, but turned himself in on Thursday, deputies said.
Porter is being charged with second degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault.
