TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A stroke patient's fiance knew the warning signs of a stroke, and called 911.

About 10 months ago, Ronnie Hailes woke up with a terrible headache and collapsed.

Since then he's been recovering with physical therapy at Health South Rehabilitation. He shared his story during an American Heart Association and American Stroke Association breakfast.

The heart association says Hailes is example of why people should participate in the upcoming 2016 Big Bend Heart Walk.
