TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Support and prayers are being sent from state leaders.
Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis says his heart goes to everyone affected at the high school in south Florida.
He said immediately following the shooting he directed his law enforcement division to offer resources.
"We've got the department of financial resource, department of state fire marshal. We'll have boots on the ground as we speak right now," Patronis said. "We do a lot of coordinating of strike teams when emergency strikes from hurricanes, natural disasters and unfortunately human disasters.
Patronis says he's heading to Broward County today.
