Sheriff: Illinois trio visits Florida to rob a bank

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - Most tourists visit Florida for the theme parks and beaches. Lee County sheriff's deputies say an Illinois trio came to Fort Myers to rob a bank.

The News-Press reports (http://newspr.es/1OVwind ) that 52-year-old Paul Paynter, 43-year-old Bret Strusiner, both of Chicago, and 43-year-old Karen Bajoras of Des Plaines robbed a Fifth Third Bank on Saturday. They were arrested later Saturday on robbery charges.

Paynter and Strusiner were being held Sunday on $500,000 bond each, while Bajoras was being held on $250,000 bond.

No attorneys were listed on the trio's jail records and the public defender's office was closed Sunday.
