TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Multiple schools are announcing that they will be closed on Wednesday ahead of severe weather warnings.
A full list of schools set to close for Wednesday is below:
- Florida A&M University has announced that they are closing their campus on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The university said that it will reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.
Changes to the above schedule or updates on weather conditions will be distributed via FAMU.edu, FAMUnews.com, FAMUInfo and on the University's official social media channels.
- The Mitchell County School System has announced that they will be closed on Wednesday due to weather.
They said that all schools will be closed including the Baconton Community Charter School due to inclement weather conditions.
Officials said that school will resume on Thursday.
- Cook County Schools announced that they will be closed on Wednesday and will reopen Thursday.
- Colquitt County Schools has announced that all schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday due to potential severe weather conditions.
- Thomas University has also announced that their campus will be closed on Wednesday.
- Bainbridge State University has announced that their campus will be closed on Wednesday.
