Ryan Uhre case gets major social media attention

Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - After the disappearance of former FSU student Ryan Uhre, both family and friends used Social Media to get some answers.

After the page was launched it got nearly 5,000 "likes" on the first day.

Since, Uhre's body was found in a vacant building in donwtown both Facebook and Twitter have been ablaze with messages of condolences and people wanting to know what happened. Messages from California to New York have poured in.

FSU Professor Warren Allen, said that the digital age has helped the community become tighter knit.

"Social media is a tool that have given people more access to each other in a shorter time frame", he said. 

Rahman Johnson sits down with Dr. Allen to discuss why the case has drawn so much attention.
