TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Starting next week, drivers along a stretch of I-10 will have some help making sure they reach their destinations safely.
That's because the Road Rangers will be on patrol on the interstate in Leon County.
The service is run by the Florida Department of Transportation in partnership with the City of Tallahassee.
Road Rangers are roving vehicles that patrol congested areas and areas with lots of traffic.
They are equipped to help motorists change flat tires, fill up their gas tank, and even jump start their batteries.
The best part? It's all free.
The service runs from mile marker 186 to mile marker 217. Some of the patrols will be in neighboring Gadsden and Jefferson counties as well.
They will be roving the interstate Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
You can request the service simply by dialing *347.
