TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Hundreds of people are gathering in the Capital City in honor of Veteran's Day to recognize the men and women of the American Armed Forces.
Residents lined up in the streets for the Annual Veteran's Day parade in Tallahassee.
It included a moment of silence for the 11th Hour Ceremony and the playing of Taps. The Marching Chiefs, local high school bands, and ROTC units were also part of the festivities.
"I come here every year because I'm a Veteran of World War II, Patton's Third Army. I was wounded in the Battle of the Bulls but I am a member of the Legion. I don't just come, but I pay my dues," Jack Shoemaker, a former Veteran of WWII, said with a chuckle.
Last year's parade had a turn out of more than 30,000 people.
