GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car Saturday afternoon.
It happened on U.S. 90 and North Main Street around 4 p.m. According to Florida Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Demetric Rhabb was behind the wheel.
Troopers say Quincy residents Linda West and Jasmine McAffee were crossing the street when West went back to pick up something she dropped. Rhabb tried to swerve, but he hit West. She died at the hospital.
Troopers say charges are pending.
