TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Over a dozen people gathered at Lake Ella Saturday to protest and raise awareness in the wake of deadly shootings in the U.S.
Community Members wanting to raise awareness on recent shootings, sought to protest and call for training to better deescalation tactics used by police.
This just a day after the deadly shooting in Dallas which left five officers and two civilians dead.
The protesters gathered in Lake Ella and held signs with the hashtag "BlackLivesMatter" calling for justice for black people. The signs also cited other recent shootings.
