TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Political activist Angela Rye led a panel discussing the importance of voting and why you should take advantage of voting priveleges.

FAMU students and local community members packed the auditorium Monday night.

To kick things off, the Marching 100 and the FAMU cheerleading squad performed.

Throughout the discussion, Rye focused on letting young people know that their vote matters, and she referenced successful people in the civil rights movement who made an impact when they were young adults.
