MOULTRIE, Ga., (WTXL) -- Police in Moultrie are searching for a man who allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend early this morning.
Police responded to calls of someone being shot at Shy Manor Apartments on Northside Drive around 5a.m.
They said this is a homicide investigation. According to police, they collected enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for the suspect, Jamie Jermaine Stamper. He allegedly shot and killed Devin Devon Smith, his girlfriend at the time, following a domestic altercation that escalated.
The photo shown here is Stamper, but police say, he no longer has a beard.
