TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been arrested after police say he broke into a home and assaulted a pregnant women.

Court documents say that on Thursday around 1:02 a.m., Tallahassee Police responded to Henderson Road in reference to a burglary.

When police arrived on the scene, they began speaking with the pregnant victim who told police that 42-year-old Jeffrey Irvine showed up to her home uninvited.

The victim said Irvine was a friend of hers and had been trying to get her to be in a relationship with him for the past few months. Police say when she told him to leave, that caused him to become upset.

Documents say that while Irvine was at the victim's front door, he started calling her names and eventually forced his way through the door. Once Irvine came through the door, he pushed the victim out his way and sat on the couch.

At this point, police say the victim was yelling at Irvine to leave but he kept telling her he just wanted to talk. Irvine continued to sit on the couch until the victim said she was calling the police.

Documents say that when Irvine got up to leave, he walked passed the victim's TV and knocking it down, causing it to break. The victim also stated Irvine pushed her a second time before he finally left.

Later, police spoke with Irvine who admitted that he forced his way into the victim's home, but denied touching her at all.
