VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department are investigating a shooting that happened around 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15.
A citizen reported that someone had been shot in the 800 block of South Fry Street. An officer responded to the area and found a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound to this leg.
Police provided first aid until paramedics arrived on scene.
The shooting appears to be an isolated incident. Witness accounts indicate that some sort of dispute took place prior to the shooting.
It was determined that the victim and the offender are familiar with each other, however, the victim refused to cooperate with investigating officers.
The only description of the suspect is a tall African American Male with a slender build.
