DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Police have identified a woman found shot and killed behind a building in downtown Decatur as 44-year-old Karen Pearce.
WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1D2UimQ) that Pearce was a hairstylist at True Hair Salon & Spa in Marietta.
A police report states that Pearce had left a restaurant in the downtown Decatur area Saturday night. Shortly after that, witnesses reported hearing a gunshot.
Pearce's body was found near the corner of East Ponce de Leon and Church streets.
The circumstances that led to the shooting are unclear.
