(WTXL) - Here's the latest changes in warnings for North Florida and South Georgia:

CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:

- The Tropical Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning for Baker, Ben Hill, Calhoun, Calhoun, Central Walton, Clay, Coastal Bay, Coastal Gulf, Coffee, Dale, Decatur, Early, Gadsden, Geneva, Henry, Holmes, Houston, Inland Bay, Inland Gulf, Irwin, Jackson, Lee, Liberty, Miller, North Walton, Quitman, Randolph, Seminole, South Walton, Terrell, Turner, and Washington

- The Hurricane Watch has been upgraded to a Hurricane Warning for Berrien, Brooks, Coastal Franklin, Coastal Jefferson, Coastal Wakulla, Colquitt, Cook, Dougherty, Grady, Inland Franklin, Inland Jefferson, Inland Wakulla, Lanier, Leon, Lowndes, Mitchell, Thomas, Tift, and Worth

- A Hurricane Warning and Storm Surge Watch are in effect for Coastal Dixie, Coastal Jefferson, Coastal Taylor, and Coastal Wakulla

- A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Berrien, Brooks, Coastal Franklin, Colquitt, Cook, Dougherty, Grady, Inland Dixie, Inland Franklin, Inland Jefferson, Inland Taylor, Inland Wakulla, Lafayette, Lanier, Leon, Lowndes, Madison, Mitchell, Thomas, Tift, and Worth

Irma is expected to have a significant impact across a large portion of the Florida Big Bend and southern Georgia with widespread wind damage to numerous trees and power lines.

The strongest winds are likely to be east of the Apalachicola and Chattahoochee Rivers. Experts expect widespread structural damage to buildings in the area with numerous with complete roof and wall failures.

Widespread and extended power outages are expected. 

Winds of at least 40 MPH may begin as early as Sunday evening, but the worst conditions will be on Monday with wind gusts well above hurricane force possible. 

As of now, the storm is about 540 miles south-southeast of Tallahassee.
