New Crosswalk to Go Up Near Wakulla High School

Posted

WAKULLA, Fla. (WTXL) -- After working with the Florida Department of Transportation for several months, the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and Wakulla County Traffic Safety Team are able to bring a crosswalk to Wakulla High School on Highway 98.

The crosswalk will be constructed near the bus loading area and the softball complex to make it safer for students crossing the highway to get to their cars parked off of WHS property.

New highway warning signs will also be put up along with fluorescent yellow-green crosswalk signs.

The work is expected to be completed in 2 to 3 months.
