FORT WORTH, Texas (WTXL) — A mother in a Texas domestic violence shelter found her 7-year-old son's heartbreaking letter to Santa Claus, asking for a very good dad, among other things.
The boy, identified only as Blake, is currently living with his mom at Safe Haven of Tarrant County, an emergency shelter for domestic violence victims in the Fort Worth area.
According to Safe Haven, his mom found the letter to Santa in his backpack a few weeks ago, where he wrote about being scared of his father.
In addition to asking Santa for books, a dictionary, a compass and a watch, Blake requested a "very, very, very good dad."
