More than 60 marijuana plants found in Florida drug bust

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL (WWSB) - A Florida man is facing felony charges after authorities discovered a marijuana cultivation enterprise inside his home. 

The narcotics unit of Charlotte County Sheriff's office executed a search warrants for a house located on Disston Avenue in Punta Gorda, where a marijuana cultivation enterprise was found. 

According to the CCSO they found an an unattached structure next to the residence with 21 mature marijuana plants found and weighed a total of 221.4 pounds. They also found 31 marijuana clone plants, 10 small marijuana plants and over 72 grams of bagged marijuana. The CCSO seized $2,370 in U.S. currency from the warrant.

Lazaro Banos was arrested on multiple charges related to the manufacture of marijuana. The Department of Children and Families were notified in regards to a juvenile and special needs adult living in the residence.
