EASTPOINT, Fla. (WTXL) - Relief is finally here for some of the Eastpoint families who lost their homes in the Lime Rock wildfire last month.
A crew set up one of the shiny, brand new mobile homes. It’s really an awesome example of how the Big Bend can pull together and help their neighbors in a time of need.
The Franklin County Sheriffs Office bought six mobile homes using the money raised from the Eastpoint GoFundMe account. These will be brand new, permanent homes for six families in need.
And even more generosity pouring in: the Eastpoint Church of God is covering the cost of the permits to put up these homes, donating $2250 to the cause.
The community is really coming together to help these families who until now have been staying with friends and relatives or in shelters.
The man who’s moving into this trailer home says thank God it’s finally here.
