Marianna Police Searching for Two Suspects Involved in a Shooting

MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL) - The Marianna Police Department is asking the public for help finding two men wanted for shooting at a moving car.

On Thursday, around 5:30 p.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they were able to determine that the victim was driving his car when he came upon Malik Widby, 19, and Michael James.

As the victim drove down the street, Widby began firing shots into his vehicle. Marianna police said that victim took evasive action and was able to escape the scene unscathed. The car was hit several times.

If you have any information in reference to the whereabouts of Michael James and Malik Widby, they have asked that you contact your local law enforcement agency.

They warn to not attempt to contact Michael James or Malik Widby as they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Widby is facing charges related to shooting into occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. James is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
