LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man suffered critical injuries after being thrown from his motorcycle in an accident in Leon County.
Cecil Miles, 47, of Tallahassee, is being charged with careless driving.
Florida Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 2:06 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Road 20 and Wainwright Road.
According to FHP, Miles and the motorcycle were both traveling westbound on State Road 20.
FHP said the motorcycle began to slow down to make a right turn on Wainwright Road, when Miles ran into the back of the motorcycle.
Due to the collision, the driver on the motorcycle was thrown off into a ditch on State Road 20.
Miles suffered minor injuries. The other driver, Coleridge Isaacs, sustained critical injuries and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
FHP states Miles was not wearing his seatbelt.
According to FHP, it also unknown if alcohol played a factor in the accident.
FHP was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office and Leon County Fire and Rescue.
