MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a homicide in Moultrie.
The GBI Thomasville Field Office was requested by Moultrie Police on May 9, about 1:10 a.m., regarding a man, hospitalized for gunshot wounds, who was later pronounced dead.
The man has been identified as Shvensky Collins.
The shooting was later determined to have taken place in the area of 4th Ave and 7th St SW.
An autopsy will be done on the victim to figure out identifying wounds he suffered. Agents and Moultrie Police have been attempting to identify witnesses, process the scene and any evidence recovered from the scene.
The case is active and ongoing at this time.
