MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers said that a motorcycle collided with a Madison County Sheriff Deputy's patrol car.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the motorcycle tried to pass a sheriff's deputy, at about 6 p.m. Tuesday night on County Road 254.
The patrol car had its light and sirens on in the northbound lane, crossed over to the southbound lane where the motorcycle was, and came to a complete stop, attempting to get the motorcycle to stop.
44-Year-Old Gregory Graham was riding the motorcycle, tried to accelerate, and hit the left side of the car, sending him off the road, where the motorcycle overturned onto the shoulder.
Both drivers survived the crash, though Graham was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers said that charges are pending further investigation.
