TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A 43-year-old man is dead after a crash in Taylor County.
Florida Highway Patrol has identified the man as Edward Acevedo of Mayo, Fla.
FHP said it happened on U.S. 19 at Bill Howell Road around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers said the man drove into the median, lost traction and hit a tree.
FHP states he was wearing a seatbelt, but it is unknown whether alcohol played a factor in the accident.
FHP said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP was assisted at the scene by Taylor County EMS and the Taylor County Sheriff's Office.
