PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- A Pensacola man has been convicted of killing his wife.
An Escambia County jury found 51-year-old James Thompson guilty of second-degree murder Wednesday. He faces life in prison at his February sentencing.
Authorities say Thompson shot 46-year-old Bobbi Thompson in the face during a fight near their home in October 2001. The Pensacola News Journal reports that the wife died at the scene, and James Thompson later confessed to detectives.
