WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida man called police after finding a wallet with $600 inside.
According to Winter Haven police, the man called early Tuesday and said he'd found the tri-fold wallet on Monday evening while looking inside garbage cans to find aluminum cans.
In a news release, police said the man found the wallet in a trash bin behind a coin laundry. When he got home, he opened the wallet and found an ID and $600.
Later Tuesday, officers say the man is going to meet with the person who lost the wallet at the police station.
