MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Police in suburban Atlanta say they've arrested a suspect in the killing of a taxi driver's son during a robbery.
Cobb County sheriff's spokeswoman Nancy Bodiford said Abdul Griffin was apprehended by local and federal fugitive task forces. She told The Marietta Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/1B0Nyn7) that the arrest happened Monday night in Powder Springs.
Marietta police say they found 22-year old Tomas Arriola with a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of the cab Feb. 18. He later died.
Police say Arriola was riding with his father, Tomas Arriola Sr., when they picked up two customers and drove them to condominiums on Franklin Road.
Cobb County Jail records show that Griffin faces murder, armed robbery and other charges. The records do not indicate whether he has an attorney.
