SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)-A McAlphin man is dead after crashing into a fence and tree.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 23-year old Robert Roy Newman III was driving west on 86th Street in an SUV.
Newman reportedly failed to negotiate a curve to the left and ran off the road.
Troopers say excessive speed is a contributing factor in the crash.
Newman was pronounced deceased on scene by Suwannee County Fire Rescue.
