TIFT COUNTY, GA (WALB) - One person has been arrested in connection with the death of Zeni Marie Travis, 47, that happened in Tift County in a cab on Mother's Day.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Devontay Green, 27, was arrested on charges of armed robbery and felony murder.
On May 13, investigators learned that Travis and her mother, a cab driver, had picked up Green on Emerson O. Bynes Ave. in Tifton.
Green directed the two to the 400 Block of Mathis Street where he robbed Travis' mother and shot Travis, who was in the front seat.
Green then ran in an unknown direction.
Travis' mother drove her to Tift Regional Medical Center where she died of her injuries.
Green is in custody at the Tift County Sheriff's Office.
This investigation is still active and ongoing.

TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Police are still looking for the man they say killed a woman and robbed her mother on Mother's Day.
Residents in that Tifton neighborhood say they are tired of the violence.
GBI officials say 47-year-old Zeni Marie Travis was killed on Sunday morning after being shot in the 400 block of Mathis Street.
Investigators say Travis was with her mom, a cab driver, picking someone up from Emerson O. Bynes Avenue earlier that night.
GBI officials say the passenger directed them to Mathis Street where he robbed Travis' mother and shot Travis.
Officials say the suspect then fled.
Travis' mom drove her to the hospital where Travis died of her injuries.
"This is very sad. This is a lady out here trying to work, make a living and you can't even do that any more. For me my heart goes out to this family and sorry that this has happened," said resident Denise Martin.
Residents say there has been a lot of violence in the area. They hope it ends soon.
TIFTON, GA (WALB) - A Tifton killer is on the loose, after a woman was gunned down on Mother's Day.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that Zeni Mari Travis, 47, was shot and killed Sunday morning.
Deputies with the Tift County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting call at the corner of South Park Avenue and Mathis Street.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Sylvester officer said Travis was riding with her mother, who drives a cab.
The GBI said that they picked up a passenger on Emerson O. Bynes Avenue and were headed to the 400 block of Mathis Street. That's where the fare robbed Travis’ mother and shot Travis, who was in the front seat.
Travis was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center where she later died.
Her body was taken to the GBI crime lab in Macon for an autopsy.
According to her obituary, Travis was living in Alabama.
