JACKSON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Jackson County deputies said they have arrested a man who attempted to steal a four-wheeler after they chased him for a week.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said that they got a report of an ongoing theft of a four-wheeler on Oct. 12. in Grand Ridge. The victim told them that he saw the suspect, who was later identified as Steven Russell, pushing his four-wheeler out of his shed to a neighbor's yard.
Officers said that the victim went outside and yelled at Russell. They said that Russell ran away after that and that deputies weren't able to find him.
On Monday, JSCO said that they have gotten some information that Russell was hiding out in a Youngstown home. The Bay County Sheriff's Office went to the home where they said they spotted him, but Russell was able to get away on foot once again.
On Wednesday, investigators were told that Russell was at a home in the Sink Creek community of Jackson County. JSCO, joined by K-9s from the Apalachee and Jackson correction institutions, surrounded the house Russell was in.

After a shot chase, deputies said that they arrested Russell for burglary and grand theft. They said he was transported to the Jackson County Jail.
Deputies said that they are continuing to investigate other burglaries and thefts in the area.
